Black Bean Brownies

mmmm, sounds delicious, right? Last week at our ward recipe night, one of the ladies brought this recipe and some brownies to sample. We were a bit skeptical at first, but they looked like normal brownies, smelled like normal brownies, and ta-da! tasted like normal brownies. Plus you get the fiber and protein from black beans. Another neighbor brought Chocolate Chip Cookies with Chickpeas from the Deceptively Delicious cookbook. You can find that recipe posted here. Sneaky, sneaky :)

Black Bean Brownies
15 oz canned black beans, drained and rinsed
20-serving brownie mix (regular or low-fat)
1/4 c water

Drain black beans then puree (use a little bit of water to help make a smooth puree). Mix into dry mix and add water. Bake according to directions on the brownie mix.
